The Story Behind
Redwood Floral Press

The story of Redwood Floral Press began in 2022 with my own wedding. I absolutely adored my wedding flowers and when I discovered the art of flower pressing, I chose to have my bouquet preserved. In the same year, I started pressing flowers casually for myself, and then began pressing bouquets for my friends and family. In 2023, I pressed my first wedding bouquets and since then, this small business has continued to grow year over year.

Redwood Floral Press aims to have every customer love and cherish their frames forever. Flowers are expensive, so why only enjoy them for a single day when you can enjoy them for a lifetime?

I believe my attention to detail and the care I pour into each and every frame shows through in every final product, and I can’t wait to see where this business heads next.

WHAT SETS US APART

  • Redwood Floral Press is a small business that is run by the owner, Katy, with the help of her family. Katy has shared the joy of pressing flowers with her husband, mom, and dad, who have all supported her in this business.

    Being a small business, we limit the number of bouquet intakes we receive each week to ensure each bouquet receives the proper time and care. This way, each frame receives ample focus and attention to get everything just right for you.

  • At Redwood Floral Press, we pay attention to all the small details of your flowers and your frame choice. We take the time to really design your flowers to make it an outstanding piece of artwork for you. Special requests? Absolutely, we will make sure your frame has all the details you envision for your bouquet.

  • It is a top priority to ensure that every customer loves the artwork they receive back. To ensure this, we offer design mockups to all clients prior to framing the flowers. This way, each client can confirm the design or provide any input they would like to see, making it 100% perfect for them.

  • Redwood Floral Press uses Canadian made classic and floating glass wood frames for all orders.

    The wood used to make our frames is FSC certified and sustainable, and each frame is slightly unique given the natural wood product used.

  • We believe everyone should have the opportunity to get their bouquet preserved. To make flower preservation as accessible as possible, we offer classic frames, floating glass frame, and shadowboxes in various sizes so there is an option to fit everyone’s budget!

Meet The Artist

Hi there! I am Katy, and I operate Redwood Floral Press out of Peterborough, Ontario. As your local preservation artist, I absolutely love seeing all of the unique bouquets that come my way and also have a deep appreciation for the florists who create them!

Currently, while I am not pressing flowers, I work as a Species at Risk Biologist. I have two degrees in biology and environmental science, and a passion for nature and the outdoors.

I am blessed to share my life with my adoring husband and our two cats, our feisty torti girl Coco, and our white persian Snow. We adopted both of our girls from local rescues.

I believe everyone should be able to take home keepsakes of their most sentimental days, and I hope I have the pleasure of helping you with your keepsake too!
